Moses: 11 Months

I grin a lot - and wrinkle my nose and scrunch my face a lot...
Yes - my eyes are this blue; and yes - my hair is this crazy all the time...
Like I said, I scrunch my face up a lot...
Seriously, have you seen my lashes?  Girls, eat your hearts out...
So I missed the 11 month marker as it has been a ridiculously busy period; but I hope these fabulous shots by photographer and friend, Hollie Szamosfalvi, will make up for it.  (Ain't she fabulous! Just wait for more shots of both boys and Noah's solo session in a fedora.  He rocks it like his daddy...)

Anyhow - bless HOllie for a fabulous baby shower gift for moses that took me 11 months to claim.  We went to an old civil war park near our home for the photo session, and had a ball...

Moses continues to astonish.  He's fearless, slides down slides at play scapes, crawls and climbs on anything he can, and has gotten his head stuck in our stair railing a few times this past month as he tries to find shortcuts to get wherever it is he's going faster.  He loves chomping on ice and dehydrated apple slices.  He squawks really, really loud and I very much look forward to him learing to speak.  I think I'll have fewer headaches.

He gets sad when Noah and James go off to school and work in the morning and the energy-level in the house plummets when it is just me to play with.  It makes him sad; I'm such a consolation prize for a big brother.  He loves looking at dogs and has had his fair share of being licked by them lately as the weather has been great.  He continues to gain weight (over 22 pounds now) and is consistent on the growth charts - which means I'm at least doing a decent job of feeding him and keeping him alive.  He sometimes naps and sometimes doesn't - and even when he doesn't, he refuses to just fall asleep on the road because he doesn't want to miss out of the fun.  He goes crazy when I let him sit at the steering wheel of the car - he gets so excited and happy -pumps his little legs, squawks (of course) and takes hold of that steering wheel as if he actually knew what to do with it.  He loves putting lids on things - open close open close, oh yeah, and open close again...

He's started the "if i throw it on the floor, you will bend down and get it for me" game; which he thinks is fun and I think is lousy.  so i try to nip that one in the bud.

One more month and we celebrate the big 1 year marker.  Amazing.  I can't imagine life without him.
