So, yesterday Noah and I and Moses had to go to Sears to buy a dishwasher. There was a fountain inside the mall and Noah asked for two pennies to make two wishes - one for me and one for him. I handed them over and then asked what he wished for. He replied, "That you could be a better mom and that I could be a super spy."
Other of Noah's latest observations / remarks:
1. He has a girl he fancies. Ella. She is lovely, no doubt. He sneeks kisses from her (thankfully, just on the cheek) on occasion. And after a playdate and admitting he'd kissed her cheek, he tells me, "I just don't have the courage to kiss her on the lips." WHEW.
2. His prayers lately have included the following: Please help me and Nikolai (bf) to be super heroes even when we're kids.
3. He continues to exercise regularly - wanting to make sure that his exercises are either super hero exercises or spy training exercises. We have some incredible video of him doing super spy dance moves in his underoos to "Secret Agent Man" song by Jonny Rivers, circa 1967...talk about perfect blackmail for his wedding one day...oh yes, thank heavens for digital recorders.
4. We had some photos taken of our boys this week and it reminded me that on occasion, Noah will pop up his golf shirt collar, shake up his hair and ask me, "mom, do i look handsome?"
5. Kindergarten starts on Tuesday. BIG BOY.
